Who we are

The church of Christ is a non-denominational group of community members who gather to sing, share, uplift, and worship our Lord and God. We are New Testament Christians who are biblical in doctrine and strive to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. We teach God's Word. No names, creeds, or traditions of man are endorsed. The church spoken of is not "my church" or "your church", but the Lord's church. We don't worship as we desire, but as God directs. We go back to the Bible for the authority in what we believe and do.

What we believe

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, and it is the only authority in what we believe and do.

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.2 Timothy 3:16-17

We speak where the Bible speaks and are silent where the Bible is silent.

You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.Deuteronomy 4:2
Do not add to His words
Or He will reprove you, and you will be proved a liar.Proverbs 30:6
I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book. Revelation 22:18-19

From this comes Bible centered preaching of the gospel out of love for God and man.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.Romans 1:16
Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.1 Peter 4:11

Our worship is patterned after the worship of New Testament Christians. We put our trust in Jesus, and strive to obey His teachings, and believe we are saved by His blood, and are added to His church by Him.

So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls. They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.Acts 2:41-42

We believe that Jesus is the only begotten son of God.

Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.John 8:24

We must hear the Word, have faith and believe in Him, repent, confess Jesus as Lord and Savior, and return to God through His Son by being immersed in baptism for the forgiveness of sins.

"Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ--this Jesus whom you crucified." Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brethren, what shall we do?" Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself."Acts 2:36-39
